RIDE WITH YOUR MIND DEMO DAY
12th October 2017
East Soley EC2000
The most recent Ride With Your Mind Demo Day at East Soley was a great success. Mary Wanless and Ali Wakelin were joined by Danish Vet, Osteopath and Acupuncture Practitioner; Rikke Schultz and explored the Fascia and Ride With Your Mind theory with the help of six demo riders and their horses.
The day could not have run without the army of RWYM coaches, willing demonstration riders and their horses (some of whom had driven multiple counties–again–to be with us) and, of course, the small, but fabulous audience.
THANK YOU

The second Ride With Your Mind Demo day of 2017 was held in the intimate venue of East Soley, Berkshire.
Hosted by Mary Wanless BSHI, BSc, FRSA with RWYM coach; Ali Wakelin (BHSAI, Equine Learning Theory), and special guest Rikke Schultz (Vet, Osteopath and Acupuncture Practitioner) from Demark.
With the audience limited to 80 the demonstrations were quite personal and the audience was able to interact and ask questions throughout the day.
Mary outlined the RWYM toolkits, explained the basics of the fascia with Rikke, covered groundwork and the effects on the fascia with Ali Wakelin, and took two riders who had no previous experience of the RWYM methodology, through the basics.
Chantal Cornelius and Milly Dove demonstrated some more experienced RWYM skills on Mia and Tinker, and Demelza Hawes and Karen Whiston demonstrated more advanced movements with their horses; Diva and Winston. Rikke and Mary gave insight to the fascial structure when performing at each level.
The back to back lectures and demonstrations provided a wealth of information and the lunch break gave everyone an opportunity to process what they'd learned so far and to talk to the trade stands. Horse Heard; a registered charity working with horses to promote positive emotional health and resilience outcomes for children, young people and adults in need came along (thank you Graham for your help in the morning), as well as RWYM, Overdale Equestrian Centre, Move to Improve and Dressage Training TV where the Fleck Carbon Composite whip was on show. Karin Major demonstrated some Feldenkrais realignment over lunch and Tea Leaves and Coffee Ltd provided welcome refreshments.
