Why World Class Basics?

Athletes all over world, from novice to expert, in all disciplines, refine their basics. Golfers fine tune their swing, tennis players refine their serve – each sport has fundamentals that build to better performance.
We will show you how equestrians can build the key skills that underpin excellence, at all levels and in all disciplines, from beginner to expert.
The Four Pillars

We’ve organised key information into four pillars because this provides four unique perspectives – like having four maps of the same territory. Each pillar introduces key information that will help with the pillars that follow.
The Ground Zero Toolkit helps you to make sense to your horse and empowers both of you by creating clear communication and an understanding of how your equine partner learns.
The Flow and Grow Framework explores presence and awareness so that you can begin to notice the small details of how your horse is respoding to you.
7 Habits of Ethical Effective Riders underpin good, ethical riding by helping you become a quiet and balanced load for your horse to carry. When you “plug in” to your horse then you can start to whisper to each other.
Patterns for a Purpose informs how the balanced, effective rider can apply school movements to refinig both their riding and the horse’s straightness, suppleness and posture.
The ultimate judge of your horse handling and riding is your horse. We’re here to help you evolve into the fair and ethical handler and rider that your horse would vote for. We’re here for the good of both you and your horse.

The Laps

We have a lot of information for you and we’re working hard to make it easy to digest!
The World Class Basics content is organised into laps.
Each lap (revolution) brings you key material from the four pillars – follow the sequence of short videos to make sure you visit this important content from the each of the four perspectives.
READY – lap one prepares you for your journey. Some of the material may already be familiar – we encourage you to watch, listen, and consider how it applies to the horseperson you are today.
STEADY – lap two gives you the basics that will underpin the rest of your riding skills. Without these it is easy to get stuck on a plateau, so take great care to keep your beginner’s mind and work through these sessions diligently. This lap encourages you to make changes to your way of thinking and your riding position.
GO! – lap three takes you into movement both on the ground and in the saddle, building your connection with the horse in unique and important ways.
We offer you video learning, backed up by personal feedback on your videos and answers to the questions that matter to YOU.
Lap One - Ready?
Lap Two - Steady
Lap Three - Go!
